150505 - The Trap of Potential
All throughout grade, elementary, junior high and high school, my student evaluations always said that I wasn't meeting my potential. Potential is someone else telling you that you have the capability to do something and can be a tough nut to crack. When you don't know how to reach that potential and aren't guided and steered it can be frustrating. In some cases (like mine) it can be a long-term problem and make you question whether you've applied yourself sufficiently in disparate areas.
You athletic potential is unknown. How fast, strong, explosive, coordinated etc. you can be is limited by genetics. However that isn't an excuse. You can brush up against greatness by pushing those limits as far as you can.
We give you the tools to maximize your athleticism and approach your potential. We show you how to eat right, the mechanics of movements and how to lift efficiently, to maximize your physicality. We program challenging lifts and workouts to constantly push your capabilities. We challenge your balance and coordination to make you better at just getting around the world.
Use every resource you have to do the very best you can. Seek self improvement. Push when you need to push and rest when you need to rest. If you don't know how to push, let me know. I'll show you. Don't give anyone the opportunity to say haven't reached your potential.
Remind them it's a work in progress.
