170605 - Motivation Monday "Selfish"

There are two kinds of being "selfish"...the good and the bad. Imagine you're on an airplane sitting next to a very young child. There's a fair amount of turbulence then suddenly the oxygen masks drop down from the ceiling and the flight attendant's words before take off suddenly ring in your ears....secure your own oxygen mask before assisting others. This is the good kind of selfish. You won't be able to help anyone else if you pass out! Take care of yourself first so you CAN take care of others. It's like my grandmother always use to say, you can't fill anyone else's cup when your own is empty! PREACH! 

So let's put this into the CrossFit perspective. When you come to the gym, it is YOUR hour to take care of yourself. Then when you go home or go to work, you can take care of others in the best way you can! Use this hour with us to let go of everything else and just enjoy! Keep all of the craziness and negativity at the door so you can "put your oxygen mask on first" and take care of YOU in the best kind of selfish way!
