Do you ever wonder why you’re at the gym? What is your motive?
Using your purpose or your reason for walking through our front door will give you the motivation to do what is right, not what is easy. It should motivate you to:

1) MOVE WELL…focusing on form and meeting high standards of movement is a high priority for us as a fitness community at Choice City CrossFit. If you want to stay injury free and seek improvement, moving well needs to be a high priority.
2) LISTEN… your coaches are highly trained and want what is best for you! Hearing their instructions and coaching and advice will make your experience better and less confusing!
3) ENJOY IT… this is YOUR 60 minutes to work on yourself and tune out the stuff outside of the gym. Instead of complaining and groaning, have a good time with it and be impressed by what your body can do!
4) SEEK PROGRESS… slow yourself down and conquer the fundamentals! There’s absolutely no shame in perfecting the basics, in fact, people are wildly impressed with people who can demonstrate beautiful impeccable basics. Once you have a goal in mind, focus on that one goal until you feel completely comfortable with it!
5) REMEMBER THE JOURNEY… there is no final destination to our fitness. We are working on developing bodies that are not as susceptible to the degenerative properties of aging and allow us to do the fun stuff in life that we want to do. One workout isn’t worth a knee blow out, a bulging spinal disc, or a torn rotator cuff. Keep in mind that each workout builds you into a better human and that’s so much more important than any single score.
