Tell us about yourself!
I'm from Albany, Oregon and I got my undergrad at Oregon State then my masters at Concordia State in Portland. Go BEAVS! All of my family is still there except myself and my two awesome daughters, Kailey and Kelsey. I was a teacher for a while but also a stay at home mom for 10 years. I was a substitute teacher for a while but now I'm exploring new options. I enjoy being around friends and being social (while enjoying a beer or two)!
Why do you "CrossFit?"
I've been swimming since the age of 9 and became a division I athlete in college. I have the competitive athletic blood in me, not to mention it's way cheaper than therapy. I was also diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 16 years ago after my first pregnancy. I think the movement and exercise that CrossFit provides keeps away flare-ups in my arthritis and stress.
What makes "Choice City CrossFit" so special?
THE PEOPLE AND THE COACHES AND THE SUPPORT! Being able to come in, no matter who you are, and feel apart of something big and a great community. I have different groups of friends and it's nice to have a group that encompasses everything I need.
