170724 - Motivation Monday - Negative Self-Talk

I catch myself saying it all the time...I CAN'T. Coach Michael hates it when I say that! He always asks the question, well have you ever tried? How hard have you tried? How many times have you tried?

When we tell ourselves that we can't do something, it makes it that much harder or more impossible for us to do it. That's exactly what a self-fulfilling prophecy is. We are what we believe we are.
So who are you?
Who do you tell yourself you are or describe yourself as? Take one day to truly listen to the self-talk that you use and ask yourself if you would say those same things to a friend or a stranger. If you wouldn't say it to them, don't say it to yourself!
