161107 - CrossFit | This week at the gym!
Thanks to everyone who donated Saturday, it was close, but we were beat out in suspicious circumstances (large donation to an opposing team). The good news is that Lauren and Janell got second place in a mixed gender competition. They beat out all the guy-guy, girl-girl teams and only lost second place to a guy-girl team by 8 points. The second place prize was Lululemon gift cards so I don't think they're too sad.
This week: Wednesday 6:30pm class is cancelled because we'll have the kids from Steve's Club (who the competition benefitted) at the gym to do a workout with Coach Lauren. It's a big deal field trip for them.
Also, Lauren has offered to coach a 5:30pm Murph session on Friday, so now we have 3 available WOD times on Friday, 6am, 9am, 5:30pm, All other Friday classes are cancelled.
Finally, Sunday is changing from Team WOD to Barbell Club as we're going into the Open season for the CrossFit Games. This will give all athletes interested in improving their Olympic and Power lifts some focused training.
