Fitness Networking

Networking is such a great tool. Sometimes you have a great conversation, depending on your line of work perhaps you find a potential client or employer, and you may even become friends! Fitness networking is no different. There are so many different types of fitness, and ways to incorporate fitness into your life.

Perhaps one day you will meet someone that also has an interest in fitness, and you both start chatting. Maybe they also do CrossFit, maybe they don’t. Maybe they can offer some advice or suggestions of exercises or nutrition tips or something that can help you on your fitness journey. Maybe you can offer them something that will help them on their fitness journey.

Just because they may practice a different style of fitness then you do doesn’t mean that one of you is wrong. Everyone’s body is different. We can learn a lot from those around us, particularly if you see someone that looks physically fit or has physical abilities that you currently don’t (ring muscle ups, anyone?). Ask for their advice. Ask about their training regimen and diet. Ask how they progressed to where they are. Store that information away. You don’t have to use it, especially if it seems unsafe or doesn’t follow your training philosophy. Who knows, you might learn something awesome and really helpful! Maybe you will try something that you want to continue to practice and improve on.

Moral of the story: Everyone has something to offer, and that something might just be some helpful fitness advice.
