The Importance of Where You Are

We are all at some point in our own fitness journey- some of us may be at the beginning, some of us may be in the middle, some of us are at the highest point we have ever been, some of us are lower than we would like to be. Your fitness journey is yours- own it! And own this moment, too!

If you are not where you would like to be, don’t beat yourself up! Think of one thing you can do this week to get yourself closer to where you would like to be. If you are where you want to be- awesome! Way to go!

And enjoy this moment. Did you have a great conversation with a friend at the box today? Did you get in one more pushup then you thought you would during the WOD? Did you push a little harder than you wanted to? Did you show up to class when you would have rather stayed in bed? You’re doing awesome! 

This exact moment is an important step in your fitness journey. Whether this moment is a high or low for you, it matters. What happens next depends on you. Where will you go from here? Only you can decide what is next!

But acknowledge where you are today, in this moment. Acknowledge the hard work you have put in to get where you are now, the sacrifices you have made, and all the time it has taken you to get here. You’re doing awesome- remember that!
